3. I loved the concept: "Twenty minutes into the future..."
Edited on Tue Oct-14-08 02:54 PM by Aristus
It brilliantly predicted the Net and the 24-hour news cycle. And digital avatars...

On edit: And blip-verts. Those little fifteen-second commercials you have to watch when accessing a "free" video of some kind. I think of those as blip-verts.

6. Only Perry's 'digital twitch' wasn't just once or twice, they went on for a good minute or two

7. If his "work" was a college essay it would look like this:
Weak Intro. THESIS! Corny Laugh! THESIS! THESIS! Studdering! THESIS! Video Effect! THESIS! THESIS! Another Video Effect! THESIS! THESIS! Studder! Crazy work with a magnifying glass! THESIS! Canned Laughter! THESIS! Video Effect! THESIS! THESIS!

(Note the complete lack of paragraphs, supporting statements, or logic.)

5. The TV Series was actually really good...
The one with Matt Freuer as Edison Carter, investigative journalist, and Max as sort of his "ghost in the machine" / "deus ex machina"

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Max_Headroom_(TV_series)

Wonder if/when they'll put that out on DVD.

The chat show with just Max was sort of lame though.

I believe Max was the spokesman for the short lived "New Coke" -- someplace I have a Max Headroom/Coke wristwatch
