OK Has anyone seen the Levitra Commercials with the couple in the bathtubs? |

If you haven't you're missing the strangest thing the wife and I have ever seen in a commercial.
It's for boner pills called Levitra...but that isn't the funny thing about the commercial.
EVERY FRICKING COMMERCIAL for this product involves an attractive couple in their late 40s or 50s sitting in twin porcelain bathtubs in a sunny garden or on the beach facing the ocean and holding hands. It's almost surreal.
Who does this? Who takes a bath in the garden/on the beach with their partner?
What the hell would a pristine white porcelain bathtub be doing on the beach/garden??? Who would want to bathe there as well? I don't mean a remote pristine mountain stream with a waterfall in some secluded wood here, but a bathtub in the garden.
Furthermore there are two of them side-by-side!
How would you get clean warm water out there? I don't see any spigots!
Even furthermore, how do you clean that? It's gotta be a mildew nightmare!
Even more furthermore, what does taking a bath (in an individual tub) have to do with sex?
What's most important, why is this bothering me so much?

1. CIALIS uses the twin tubs. I think it is a rebate kinda thing like Camel Bucks. |
|
I always joke with my husband that if he'd start using those pills we could mail in for the free twin tubs!!!

I can't keep my boner pills straight!
If you do get them you really must tell me how you plan on keeping them clean.

3. Well, it isn't like you can DO anything from a few feet away! |
|
I mean--just think about it--how much CAN you really do if you are not in the same tub?
I'm thinking that pill would have a HUGE market share if it helped in THAT way...

7. I am sure they are working on that as we speak. |

Inadequate men worldwide gasp in anticipation. Could be the beginning of that "World Peace" thing if you think about just why wars are started....
Personally, I am glad to have no need of any kind of medication. Mrs. YOY and I are nice like that!

4. I have been asking myself that same question for a really, really long time now |
|
I DO NOT GET the significance of twin bathtubs. Is it just so shocking that a couple of adults would want to get into a bathtub together? Here's another question: What's more obscene? The constant ED drug commercials, or two consenting adults taking a bath in the same tub?

Now if you asked which one is more pathetic...that's a no brainier.
I gotta say those skinny looking tubs don't like they leave much room for "motion" if you get my drift.

8. It is a branding device (albeit an unintentional one) |
|
THere are 3 boner pills out there, viagra, levitra and cealis. All three do the same thing, give guys boners.
So each boner pill maker has to differentiate itself in different ways and build their brand.
The bathtub people are levitra. It's first commercial had a throwaway shot of a couple outside in separate bathtubs.
The marketing people wanted to know what stuck in people's minds after the commercial and the bathtubs were the one thing that stuck in people's minds. It wasn't done intentionally. It just stuck there and people associated this brand of boner pill with the bathtubs outside. So when people see the bathtubs outside they associate it with those boner pills. It is the same thing a Coke and the hourglass bottle. So to reinforce the brand they always have the 2 bathtubs, thus getting people to think about boner pills.
(my bride is in marketing and she read this in an advertising trade journal)
