Well, LittleBigPlanet did it...I'm buying a Playstation 3

I've held off for a long, long time, which is hard as I am an admitted gamer. I didn't buy a new system because of Grand Theft Auto IV or Soul Calibur IV or that new Star Wars game. I resisted the Wii and the multitude of casual games out for it. I didn't cave when the XBox 360 hit $199.

But, LittleBigPlanet pushed me over the edge. I've preordered the game and picking up the system this weekend.

1. For me, it was Lego Star Wars...

:rofl: Okay, actually, I wanted it for the Blue Ray and for the future gaming potential, but my kids got addicted to Lego Star Wars. I bought that and Rock Band for almost $200 bucks, and Rock Band is rarely used.

2. Y'know they have a PC port of Lego Star Wars.

Granted, the port is glitchy and crappy... but still. :P Cheaper to spend 20 bucks on a game and another 20 on a controller than to spend a couple hundred on a system.

I bought my PS3 in February and it's seen a lot more action than my 360 since then. I just like the PS3 controller better, especially the d-pad. The fact that you don't have to pay a monthly fee for multiplayer online is a huge plus for me too. I'll get around to buying LBP eventually, but Rock Band 2 comes out on Sunday, and I can't wait to start the World Tour all over again.
