1. He's not worth hating. I merely feel a combination of mild pity and amusement. |

4. No, he's very much worth hating. |
|
He is a miserable excuse for a human being who makes a miserable excuse for music surpassed in suck only by Nickelback.

6. I always saw him as kind of like KISS. Not a musician, just a show. |

7. Sort of, except even the show has no integrity. |
|
At least with KISS, you actually DID get one hell of a show.

Nickelback is still better than Kid Rock. At least they can play instruments.

15. The ability to play an instrument doesn't make one a better musician. |
|
Especially when your stuff is http://www.thewebshite.net/nickelback.htm">this unimaginative.

|
I'm not trying to say that Nickelback is worse than Hitler or anything. But they are.

first, I don't mind Kid Rock when he does the country rock stuff. It comes off as much more authentic from him. Still not exactly good, but I can tolerate it. When he tries to do hard rock it just seems like a joke.
Second, I'm totally stealing your line about Nickelback.

16. Yeah, but Nickelback is more fun to mock. Kid Rock...it almost feels mean to mock. |

Like mocking a Special Ed student.

8. It's too bad Stockhausen died, because he's the one who deserved to take out Kidd Rock with a 4x6 |
|
repeatedly to his asshole face and his asshole hair and his asshole cliche everything.
Beat him repeatedly, to the death, and then beat him some more.
And then Robert Fripp and Brian Eno should have been allowed to piss on his corpse, while David Byrne and David Bowie set his body on fire.
Kid Rock represents everything that rock and roll isn't.

13. I actually have listened to it at the airport. |
|
At LaGuardia, in fact, where it played for awhile upon its initial release. I stood on the motorized walkway and listened to it on my iPod.

10. p.s., I finally had to turn that pile of shit off at the 4 minute mark so I didn't kill myself. |

Talk about utterly shitty music.
Fucking Christ.
If this is what people nowadays call music, no wonder the industry is in the shitter and no one under 25 actually knows what music should sound like any more.

There are still some of us who appreciate real rock music and not the fake, shitty, "music" that is being cranked out now. Zappa, Metallica, Floyd, Yes, Maiden, and other greats are in constant rotation in my player. There is good music now but it's definitely not played on radio or TV (think Opeth, Mars Volta, Porcupine Tree, etc.).
One trend that is good among my generation is that many, many people are discovering Pink Floyd for the first time. I can't go into a store without seeing a Pink Floyd shirt and that is, imho, a positive trend.
