What if I don't have a pressure cooker? |
|
I have a chili recipe that calls for the use of a pressure cooker. I don't have one. How can I cook this chili? It has cubes of meat and they have to be cooked through, but I'm afraid keeping the chili out of a P.C. and over a flame for a long time will somehow ruin it.
Help?

Cook it at 350 for maybe 4 hours.

I'll try that. (I hope I can put my big pot w/ the silicone handles in the oven . . . do you know?)

2. It just takes longer without the pressure cooker. |
|
I agree 4 hours may be necessary without canned beans. Low simmering boil with a lid on.

5. Sounds like you're the one under pressure |
|
But somehow I don't think that will help you make your chili.

6. Do you have a crock pot? |
|
Those are good for chili; it just takes longer than a pressure cooker.
