Turning Siamese/ I think she's turning Siamese/ I really think so (kitten pix; dialup warning)

The new kitten finally sat still to pose for a few pictures. She's a total ham, or was a supermodel in a previous life. I made some effort to crop the kitchen trash can out of these, though I don't know why, as her highest ambition in life (along with eating my shoelaces and chasing the big kitty) appears to be to move into it.

The first picture is from about a month ago before she got here; the rest are from today. Note how the mask is coming in. She is a seal point mitted ragdoll, but as I mentioned before, this is basically a traditional Siamese (complete with the apple head) only with white feet. Sorry about the one really enormous one, but I mean day-um.

The probability is that the cattery found that people wanted ragdolls and nobody had heard of Birmans (Birmen?:)), so just advertised them as ragdolls. One of the top four Google image results for Birman looks like a picture of Lily.

But ragdolls and Birmans were both only recognized in the '60s. (Clearly I don't know the first thing about what I'm talking about. Just found it mysterious how much she looks like a Birman. Her older cousins at the cattery looked to be ragdoll-sized, so I guess I can shut up and trust to the cattery's greater knowledge.:))

but just in case, what's the postage on a 3 1/2 lb kitten? (Well, she was 2 1/2 lb at the vet a couple of weeks ago and she's growing fast; I don't know if it's really all that fast.)

as it suggested I should try the spray bottle as behavior modification. She didn't care about it one way or another (and had already jumped in the shower with Alice this morning), so maybe she's a water-loving Siamese. I wonder how Birmans feel about water?
