Kubrick denied a number of times that he was a liberal or a lefty of any kind. I disagree with his self-assessment. No right-winger could make such a great film about cynical, ambitious men in situations that demand moral clarity. No matter how much righties might talk about the need for and desirability of moral clarity.

Looking through one of my English teacher's movie collections and telling him "I've never seen that one" referring to Paths of Glory
He took it put it in my hands and told me "Well you should watch it" and I'm glad he did. Tremendous movie just the whole thing. . . I may have to watch it again this weekend.
Why wasn't this film included in the Kubrick collection? It came with Strangelove, 2001, Clockwork Orange, Barry Lyndon, FMJ, Shining, Lolita, and Eyes Wide Shut. (I own the Kubrick Collection, love it).
