What's the difference between "I love you and no matter how long we're apart,
Edited on Fri Nov-14-08 07:19 PM by crim son
we still belong together" and "You love me so I only need to check up on you once a week to get laid and I know you'll stick around"?

Curious. God, edited for another typo.

2. Actual Quotes?
Did he really say both of these things?

Does he live close by. Is it easy for you to see each other?

If so, it crap. He should want to see you more than once a week, if there is time, and he is close. Otherwise I say Overboard!!
What's he doing the rest of the week?

5. No, he's said neither but implied the former.
And he lives about ten minutes away but sees me on Saturday nights to Sunday afternoons. His work is not steady. What bothers me is that he expects me to drop everything when he has ten minutes, but when I'd like the company - say, the night of the election when I was soooooo happy, he couldn't be bothered. He tends to be absent for the big moments, you know?

I think I must be a high-maintenance lady. That's what the ex aways said. Hi, Lincolngirl! I had to check your profile just to be sure you weren't in Lincoln, Maine. Alas, almost nobody is from Maine. :hi:

8. More than once a
week isn't high maintenance. That's bullshit.

I won't tell you to dump him, that's not my place, but don't put up with that crap.

See what happens if you don't have sex with him the next time he stops by for his weekly "visit". That should be an indicator.

Hi to you in Maine.

There are plenty of people there. I've seen profiles from there anyway!

and

:hi:

right back at ya!

(lincolngirl is because I live in Illinois, and am born on Lincoln's Birthday!)

3. Perhaps nothing
but probably something :P

I'd say the second one takes for granted that you will be there, and the first is more a hope, unfulfilled.

The second one also may have little to do with mutual love, or it might.

All depends on the people involved...

Just my opinion

Hi Crimmie

Hi pawpicker. Did you hear my car exploded? It's been a bad week and I am seriously resenting being alone tonight. How are you?

7. Wherever you may be tonight:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8YvRs-1D-60&feature=rela...

Wherever you may be tonight,
you'll be happy to know,
that however thin my luck ran,
I never sold your silk scarf
for a piece of bread.

And that I never,
however tired I was,
abandoned your memory,
by the side of the road,

And however cold or sad night became,
I never cast into the fire,
a single one of your kisses.

Because of you,
the sun shone on me once,
and when I think of you,
it shines anew,
undimmed by melancholy,
or the fleeting loves of an eternity.

Wherever you may be tonight,
you'll be happy to know,
that I could have forgotten,
but chose not to.

And however cold or sad night became,
I never cast into the fire,
a single one of your kisses.

Wherever you may be,
If you remember me...

9. Beautiful song, beautiful words.
I wish I could feel like that instead of always allowing the fear of being alone to dominate every other sensation. Thanks, Xipe Totec.

11. He's not a dipshit, I don't think.
Edited on Fri Nov-14-08 08:06 PM by crim son
He's just a guy who isn't really great at relationships (I've had the same boyfriend for almost two years now, just for the record) and the "closer" we get, the freer he feels to absent himself. Me, I'm a needy wench these days (on edit: or should I say "these years"?) :D Hi, MorningGlow.

12. Okay
Then just acting dipshitty on occasion. Boyfriend needs to step up and do the "friend"/companion part of the whole relationship thing. I don't think you're being needy--just expecting proper SO behavior.

Sorry if I'm being harsh. I'm feeling feisty tonight, for some reason! :hi:

15. No, no. Your feistiness is nothing to be sorry about!
First, my post sounds very defensive so obiously he's being an ass IMHO. It's just that I think he's intrinsically an ass sometimes, and it can be difficult. He'd say the same thing about me, I'm pretty sure. :loveya: No worries.
