Poll question: Help me pick out a shade for my home office
Edited on Mon Nov-17-08 05:38 PM by supernova
:D

As you can see, right now the room is a very old green color. :x(

I want to paint my home office in some sort of orange shade. Nothing too showy, just a nice bright color. This is a back room that only gets afternoon sun, facing SW. It's in between a mellow yellow/blue bedroom and a very dark purple plaster bathroom.

The Colors are reading from left to right:

I'm going to the recycling center, will be back in a few minutes. Can I drop off your recyclables? Thanks for your help! :-)

6. Thanks!
:D

You gotta wear B-) for that color. The pic mutes it some. It's a wattage producer. :-) I was thinking of maybe using it as an accent color.

3. I like the Cafe Spice, but I'm not a big fan of orange in the first place.
That looks a little more peachy to me.

7. The camera skews them blue a little too much
They aren't really different shades of white people. :eyes:

They are more yellow and "warm" than they appear there.

You're not the only one who's told me I'm a little off for wanting an orange office. ;-)

9. LOL. Mr. Midlo's office is painted breast fed baby puke.
I shit you not. It is horrible. He thinks it is 'warm'.

Dear God. That man cannot be allowed to make a decorating decision.

4. I went with café spice.
Dark colors can make a room appear smaller. They also interfere with other décor.

5. I like the cafe spice.
I do not like to paint my walls too dark.

11. That is a consideration
This is already a small house (1950s) with small rooms. I don't want to make them smaller.

12. I'd go with the lighter shade, since paint tends to trend darker when it's
the whole wall, at least in my experience.
