Secondly - it was hot, DAMN HOT!!!

My State Rep, Dawnna Dukes, was the emcee for the day. We heard from Ruben Ramos (El Gato Negro for you tejano fans). We sang God Bless America, which I hear freaked out the freepers in attendance. They didn't know whether to sing along or not! (Hahahaha - idiots!) Anyway, we heard from the families of the Texas 11, as well as from the the Senators themselves via conference call. We are SO going to win in the end! I LOVE BEING RIGHT!!! AND WE ARE RIGHT!!!!

I met up with VelmaD, flush_bush, KCDem, TXLib and kiddoes and bluestateguy. It was great seeing all the people come from all over the state to demand our elected officials listen to us!!!

10. The only sad thing about this day was that I did not find or id you Tx.

DUers. My daughter and I were pretty close to the front. I actually could see pretty well through the crowd of people in front of me (being not much over 5 feet, this is not always easy). My daughter, who always asks the pertinent questions, want to know what happens from here. Since I don't know, I thought I would ask if anyone knows what comes next. Do we continue to have more special sessions or what? I loved the protest songs and was completely happy in a way I have not been in a LONG time. What a great day. We were wiped from the heat and crashed after lunch. Wanted to add that it was wonderful to see so many Texas Democrats in one place and I never saw any repukes. I signed so many petitions, that I have writer's cramps.
