1. Never had it, but my dad had it once when visiting me. Years ago.
He seemed to be in terrible pain. I think he soaked his feet in Epsom salts. And was on some oral med.

2. I was on meds too but got off of them
because I haven't had an attack in years. Being that it is the weekend going to the doc isn't gonna happen.

3. My husband uses cherry juice or cherry supplements
There's something in cherries that helps ease a gout attack. I'm sorry - I know it's horribly painful.

4. Research cherry juice.
Some people swear by it, but for others it does not seem to be effective.

5. I'e had Gout off and on for years,
I use Bromelain from the health food store. It's made from Pineapple i've been told.
two tablets, two or three times a day. Works for me but I'm no expert.

6. Ouch! I get it off and on.
What helps me sometimes is to wear a tight sock. Also wearing a comfortable shoe may help. If you can stand it, wiggle your big toe around and around a lot with your hand. Maybe it's all in my head, but I think it helps "break up" the uric acid. Drink water.

Seriously, I feel your pain! I've heard the same thing about cherry juice but it didn't help me.

Good luck!

7. Thanks!
I do the toe wiggling also. It does seem to help a bit and I'm drinking a bunch of water.

As long as I get it under control by Monday it will all be alright. Glad it hit me while I have 2 days off instead of the middle of the workweek.
