Thomcat Update

The computer is set to be delivered and setup for Thom on Saturday between noon and 4pm. They're installing Office, Skype and all the anti-virus and spyware stuff. They're hooking him up to his wireless network in his apartment. They're installing the wireless card in the desktop computer we bought him. He has a headset for Skype and the voice recognition software we're eventually getting him. He also has a trackball mouse since his hands don't always work like they used to.

We should see him online Saturday evening. :) Time to party with the Thomcat. :bounce:

After the voice recognition software is bought, any left over funds will go toward gift cards or ink and paper for his all-in-one printer the computer was bundled with.

I want to thank all of you again for your support. Those who sent money and those who've cheered him on all these months. I spoke to him last night and he sounds very, very tired. His friend Jenna was there helping and she's been his angel.

This is an amazing place full of compassionate, caring people. We're all lucky to have found each other.

The computer at home has some virus from hell, so I've been "offline" for like 2 days (seems like months).

I drove in a pouring snow to work when told I could decide for myself whether or not to come in.

There are lip marks on the screen and I possible pulled a wire loose hugging my comp. at wor.

You all rock for helping Thom get internets back at home. He's been down a while. I'd be in an asylum.
