17. I still remember
walking through CDWorld in New Jersey, and hearing my father say that Rap is just a fad.

I will always remember listening to "The Fat Boys" with some friends in our den and my father throwing open the door and yelling at me for listening to that crap.

I can give him a pass on both. Here's a guy who grew up in England in the 60s. He was wrong about Rap being a fad, but the Fat Boys did suck. Even if bllllllll STICK EM did entertain me.

that are my age listen to the soft rock stations and die a little bit every day. Fools.

That fat boys did suck, they had a shtick but no real talent. and who didn't see this coming--

My father and mother still listen to some good stuff, even some Beasties ( which he ripped from my collection when we were on the same network - go spy dad! ) and a lot newer stuff. Mom is a secret fan of some of Marylin Manson's stuff, Dad likes some Soundgarden, Mom likes some Moby, Dad likes some Death in Vegas *but he just doesn't know it yet)

I also found out that there are physical reasons for it. Like you, I could do all the fancy stuff; I just couldn't maintain my speed or control my braking. (I don't have enough feeling in my feet)! I tried hand controls--my reflexes are way too slow. Even though there are physical reasons, I've always regretted not having a driver's license. I intend to try again. All these years, I've been hoping they'd come up with some kind of computerized car where you type in where you want to go and it just takes you there! There is a feeling of failure that goes along with this stuff, y'know?

55. I'm highlander quote.
I was born four hundred years ago in the Highlands of Scotland. I am immortal and I am not alone. Now is the time of the Gathering, when the stroke of a sword will release the power of the Quickening. In the end, there can be only one.

The prize of the collection? Bobby Orr's rookie card.

At about $2,500 it's the most valuable thing I own.

93. That's bad?
I'd love to have what it looks like you've got there! I was considering doing one of the smaller scales due to having less space, but I'll have to start from scratch since all the track and trains I have in my parents basement is HO scale.

98. The pic here is our club layout a few years ago
We have/had a portable modular layout we would set up for shows around town.

Each member had their own home layout too, all HO scale.

Mine is in boxes packed away as I live in an apartment now without a usable basement.

But someday...

108. 38 and I still sleep in a sleeping bag...on top of the bed.
I just love the fact that making up the bed is easier when all you have to do is close the sleeping bag and if you get hot while you sleep(which I do a lot, I must have wonderful dreams I don't remember), you just have the one cover to throw off. What more could a person ask for?

125. 42/Play computer games...
I still play computer games (Neverwinter Nights and Baldur's Gate II being my two fav's). I can't defend it or justify it ("it reduces stress" and "it helps hand-eye co-ordination" being two of the most prolific BS defenses I've heard in the past), and I don't apologize for it. I just play them, and waste my time doing it. :)

Oh-- I also read Stephen King novels... :P
