Who is the coolest actor ever?
My pick: Three way tie between Montgomery Clift, James Dean, and Steve McQueen.

3. Brando, Montgomery Clift, Steve McQueen

Amongst current actors (who aren't as cool) the coolest are probably:

Russell Crowe

Bruce Willis

Brad Pitt

...but that's just my opinion.

7. Russel Crowe? He's a complete asshole
See SouthPark's rendition of "Fighting around the world, with Tugger" for reasons why. Read the news if you don't believe SouthPark.

He's an asshole, he's an asshole at the level mere mortals like me can only dream of reaching.

6. I dunno about *ever*
but of the current crop, I think Johnny Depp's pretty cool...Montgomery Clift was waaaaaaay cool...If cool doesn't = macho (which, IMHO, isn't necessarily *cool*) then I'd throw Ed Norton and John Cusak in the hat. :)

27. I don't know much about Montgomoery Clift...
but I'd agree that Depp, Norton & Cusack are among the coolest of the current crop.

I'd also include Brad Pitt in the mix.

Aside from being very good looking (according to my girlfriend), these guys are all very talented actors who bring more depth (for lack of a better word) to their roles than pretty boy actors like Ben Affleck could ever dream of.

until I saw him on The Daily Show, he was a complete asshole to Jon for no apparent reason. I agree about Depp and Norton and I'll throw in the coolest of the cool, David Duchovny.

Maybe not today, and maybe not tomorrow, but soon, and for the rest of your life. So get on that plane and go. Here's looking a you kid."

Now I know he didn't write it, but damn did he deliver it. And every time.

Han Solo and Indiana Jones alone are enough to make him cool.

And he has a terrific wit and personality when he's himself.. Coolest, IMO.

'I hate talking about acting, Actors are so pompous. I really don't know what I'm doing half of the time.'

'It beats working for a living.'

'The arc of the part? I don't know what the fuck you're talking about.'

On Bill Clinton: 'He's an extraordinary man, I think he's very much missed in this country. He's pretty exhausting to be with, because he's always wanting to play cards or golf!'

Tony apparently 'ran into' Bill Clinton in Las Vegas and decided to join him on his trip to Brazil. Clinton is said to 'adore Sir Anthony'.

Second would have to be Jack Nicholson :smoke:
