The next time I decide to drive 600 miles for dinner, please reach through the internet and slap some sense into me.
At least with gas so cheap these days it wasn't an expensive trip.

5. Traffic was fine, other than fog. |
|
And this time of year, fog is to be expected along a lot of the route.

I drove home from Eugene today (285 miles). About 100 miles from home, traffic came to a dead standstill, then proceeded to crawl along at about 3 miles an hour.
I couldn't take it, so I got off at this exit where I could use the back roads. Even though there were spots where I had to go 25 mph through little tiny towns, I still made it home faster than if I had stayed on I-5.
Hope your drive was a good one (or at least not as frustrating as mine -- until I got off the freeway).

7. I probably passed you headed the other direction. |

There was a little bottleneck at some road construction around Medford, and a lot of patchy fog pretty much the whole way down, but no real traffic to speak of and I made great time. No problems on the way up, either.

And yeah, it was pretty foggy the whole drive, though in the beginning, the fog was pretty high. Later on in the drive, it was much closer to the ground.

I'm pretty much *over* thanksgiving, I think. Next year it'll be pad thai at home with husband and the kitties...
Did you have a good time, at least?

We went to Olympia for Thanksgiving dinner, so we may have passed Seattle Girl on the road, too!
