Is there anything I can do for a business, getting unwanted calls
I guess I cannot go on the do not call list because I am a business

I get two calls per day at least from this debt reduction agency - robocalls.

So today I finally called them back. They ask me if I want to speak to a debt reduction counselor and then hang up on me when I say I want off their list. So I said I wanted to speak to a debt reduction counselor and then he asked me how much debt I had - i said zero and I wanted off the list. He says, "fuck you" and hangs up.

Like I did something wrong! I get to delete at least two messages per day from them!

1. Does your business have a lawyer on retainer?
Usually a brief letter from an Esq perks their ears up.

The immature but fun route is to find their 800 Fax number and blackfax them every time they call you. Most of those places don't use a Faxserve type of thing even today.

4. My guess
Send them a black sheet that they have to print out!

But there are laws against unsolicited faxes which do apply also to businesses. Though I could say they solicited it.

5. Blackfaxing is a coversheet
with a heading like "in re your call to xxx-xxx-xxxx please see the following 5 pages"

Those 5 pages are all solid black. Nice way to cost them toner quickly if you hit them a couple/few times a day.

Uh, not that I've ever done that.

3. I'll listen carefully for the name of the company next time
And see if I can get their address!

I AM a lawyer and don't see any legal impediment to their calling, but they sure are annoying.

But I may just try the letter anyway. That's a good idea!

:hi:

6. Isn't it harassment
if they call multiple times per day, unsolicited, after you've told them to stop?

Leverage that title, mate. Scumbags like that usually quake in the face of a lawyer.
