8. I couldn't find a pic to go with that |
|
So let's just sing the song:
We are Friends of the Friendless, yes we are, yes we are We are Friends of the Friendless, be they near, be they far We remember the forgotten and we sober up the sotten We are Friends of the Friendless, yes we are, yes we are
:D
Lucy apparently got clawed by another cat, or somehow her leg got wounded, but it was small enough that I couldn't see it. It abscessed, so I took her to the vet yesterday morning.

I looked for the YouTube for Lucy sitting on the park bench pouting when she meets the Friends of the Friendless...
we sober up the sotten (damn. what a line! good word -- sotten!)

There's a disturbing dearth of "I Love Lucy" photos, etc. on the internets. You can find a lot of the standard pics, like Lucy and Ricky posing, or shots of collectible junk, but there aren't nearly enough pics from the series. x(

13. there is never ENOUGH Lucy...no such thing as too much Lucy |
|
I wish every episode was freeze framed. One still pic after another. I am as nuts for Lucy as you are for Monty Python.

14. Heh... don't misunderestimate me |

I find many more opportunities to quote Python in context because they ripped on just about everything, but that doesn't mean I can't riff "I Love Lucy" and lay some serious trivia on ya. I've been a fan since I was 11 or 12 and I have three or four books about it.
Same with "MASH," btw.

I would never underestimate you.
:shrug:I think my love affair with Lucy began at the age of 14. Dad had been promoted and transferred to Bumfuck, Egypt x( and Lucy and Ethel became my best friends.:loveya: I think they showed 3 "I Love Lucy" shows back to back and then a "Here's Lucy" before the nightly news.:o From 4:00 to 6:00 I was glued to the TV. I still watch her almost every day thanks to the TV-land channel.;)
Mash was one of the best TV shows ever,,,after I Love Lucy, of course :D

10. Talk nice to her, give her some tuna. |
|
Then go slow, be gentle and start to remove the bandage. When she gets upset, back off. Calm her down, and again work on the bandage. Try to get it to a point that she can get the rest off herself; you know she doesn’t like it.

|
If you count the time between removal sessions, it's taken me about three hours to pull off three inches of bandage. x(
