What's the matter with people? I'm trying to unload some stuff on Craig's List... |
|
Posting it in the 'free' section. I get people clamoring and begging for it via email but when I tell someone to come and get it it's like 50/50 they'll bother to show up.

1. Try freecycle, if it exists where you live |

2. Tried that. No nibbles. |

I see stuff moving on Freecycle but it seems more like kids' clothes and housewares-- not really what I've got. For instance, I posted a working TV a while back. I must have had 20 people tell me "GIVE ME YOUR ADDRESS I CAN BE THERE TONIGHT" and it took until the 5th person to actually show up.

3. Try a 'Curb Alert' on Freecycle and Craigs...... |

Let people know when you are putting it out for the trashman....this has worked for me.
Either someone from the groups shows up, or the regular scrap-metal junk guy does....
