3. Depends on how he deals with it.
If he's smart, he'll get a financial advisor, even if it's just for a little while, to help him determine what to do, and to make the right choices.

4. sudden wealth brings sudden changes
as long as he's mentally aware that his old life is "Gone" and can accept that. he'll make out OK.

People often feel tremendous guilt when a windfall happens out of the blue, because we're all programmed that money is evil unless you work real real hard for it. Everyone he knows is going to ask him for a loan, and dpending on where he lives and the publicity, at least one robbery attempt will happen unless he changes venue.

It's akin to rappers having to leave the ghetto upon their success. Sudddenly , they're a target.

5. 2 mil? No. 200 mil? YES!
When the lotto winner gets tens or hundreds of millions, then every crackpot in the world comes out of the woodwork to get a piece of it.

And the winner runs hog-wild buying mansions. Rolls-Royces, Rolexes, and gold-plated toilet seats and goes bankrupt in about 3 years.

I'm thinking of a nice cabin on Lake Meade

Hi-speed internet and digital cable with an arsenal of shotguns.

Oh yeah, the German Shepherds... I like German Shepherds.
