I'm getting INAUGURAL TICKETS! But hotels are just so expensive |
|
so I may miss out on this historic chance. Any one know of places in/around DC (even Maryland or VA are ok) that are still available and somewhat affordable?

When I checked the hotel availability in my hometown (about 45 miles from DC) everything was sold out, and in neighboring towns as well. It's gonna be packed.
Did you check Baltimore area hotels?

Lowest is about $300 a night and that makes it just out of reach for me... Sigh. I think I will just have to let my congresscritter know that I won't be able to make it.

5. Hell, I'd find a safe, quiet place and just sleep in the car. :) |

How many times can you say you've gotten a chance to go to an inauguration, let alone an inauguration for the first African American president?

4. How many tickets do you have - do you have spare |
|
Trust me, worst case scenario drive down Monday night and find a parking garage where you can hang out at until the Inauguration. We'll probably have a DU party Monday night and the bars are open until 5am.

7. Do you have a friend to stay with down there? |
|
I don't have tickets, but I have a friend in DC so if I were going I'd just encamp on his couch and save my hotel money for partying.
