child services has taken my 11 year old cousin today. My mom was told by a cousin today what happened. His mom is out now getting drunk and telling people she is going to come over and beat my mom because she called CS on her. Please pray for my cousin Tim that he finds a loving home.

2. I'm sorry to hear that.
May some kind soul care for him in the most positive and tender way. Take care of yourself, too.

3. Well, getting drunk and threatening to beat up your mother will sure score points with CPS.
Best wishes for Tim to get into a loving home.

7. You'd be amazed at how much good a loving foster home can do for a kid.
Prayers for your cousin.

11. Any chance you or your mother can take the child?
As someone who grew up with a couple of foster brothers and who has had such domestic issues in his extended family, I can tell you that the odds are not overwhelmingly positive that he'll have a good foster experience. By the time my brothers got to our family, they had been abused, neglected, treated as slaves, and emotionally pummeled in ways that no one would allow a dog to be treated. The majority of the families they encountered only wanted the money that went along with the gig, and spent that money on their own needs while neglecting the kids. There are of course many exceptions, but again, the odds are just not as good as you would want. Of course, it's almost always better than what they'd go through without fostering, though. At least someone is paying attention to them.

Sorry, didn't mean this to be so negative. It's just my own experiences, and something I'm passionate about.
