I'm going to try a call and response sermon tomorrow. It is a Lutheran congregation, so I'm not sure how well it will go over. Beyond that I'm also quoting the movie Romero, and Hip-hopper KRS-ONE. I may even wobble on the fine line between social gospel and socialist gospel. So, in short a little luck, or prayer, or Karma, or shout outs, would be much appriciated. Thanks, In peace, Chris

1. may the forces be with you. |

as my dad told me before I had to give my first toast at a wedding - just speak from your heart.

4. It will go fine. Lutherans are a mellow lot, used to wacky ideas |
|
for sermons. Just offer to feed them or have beer afterward, and they will sit through total silence.

arg, I don't want silence, I want them to respond to the glorious message that Jesus is the Bread of Life, but yes, as a Lutheran myself I know they tend to be mellow, which is what I'm trying to fix. Thank you for your support. Good night all, I need some rest, Shalom. Chris Halverson

Have the congregation stand up during the call-and-response. They won't want to say anything unless they're standing.
Have some sort of music in the background that has a rhythm or some sort of a beat to it, but not so loud that it overwhelms the speaking.
Best wishes -
