Let's say that I can locate my Windows XP systems disks.
What is the command that I use to completely wipe everything off this piece of shit computer and then how do I start again?
Do I just put in the system disks and let it load?
Thanks.

1. If they're system restore disks provided by your system manufacturer, |
|
it should do everything automatically after you click the mouse a few times, confirming that you want to totally restore your hard drive to factory condition.
If it's an actual copy of XP, I think it will ask if you want to reinstall and will take care of the formatting from there.
Either way, it's not as hard or as scary as it looks, unless you have serious hardware trouble.

Don't I have to do a C:/format or something like that to wipe the old hard drive first?
Thanks again.

4. Nope, the XP installer will give you an option for formatting without dealing with a command prompt. |

3. Just boot it from the disc and it'll give you the format options. |
|
Just make sure if it's not a computer recovery disc that you have your device driver discs on hand as well. And be sure to install at least SP 2 after you get windows reinstalled.
