another DU gathering in Boston? if i'm correct (and i haven't missed one), the last one was on November 1st, and that's 4 damn months ago. People need to "cowboy up" (sorry, hate that phrase, but couldn't resist with baseball season only a month away:) and come to the People's Republik!!

all you have to do is walk down Franklin and Rosemary streets. Take your pick. ;-)
Personal Fav:
West End Wine Bar. Filled with Chapel Hill's dressed in black artsy types. No food, Hor D'oeurve trays though. Music after 10PM on the weekends.
For fratboy types there's Top of the Hill microbrewery. Good view of Franklin Street.
Mr Henri's Bistro on Rosemary, behind West End Wine Bar.
Raleigh requires some driving. Some faves:
Bahama Breeze. Packed most nights due to dueling pianos schtick. Huge outside portico bar for warm summer nights. Food is good.
Rathskeller across from NCSU. Probably the oldes student tavern in Raleigh. Beer, fish n chips.
Players sports bar, across from Meridith College just outside town.
