Fall Out Boy Folie a Dull...
My god, I've never heard an album of the same exact song played at various minutely different tempos. There is very little difference between their songs on this album, in other words. Only a few songs stand out from the rest, but mostly they all blend together. Shitty corporate pop played with electric guitars. :puke:

3. It pisses me off...
Very few popular rock bands today that are producing really good music! :grr:

There has got to be a backlash against this shitty stuff someday. I looked at YouTube, and you should see all the negative reactions to the album preview. Everyone seems to agree that this is the same bland shit.

10. Yup. I spent exactly $20 this year on new music.
Because it (almost) all sucks. 2 CDs all year. Pathetic.

20. Almost all the albums I bought in the last two years are on independent labels.
Its cliche to say that the record industry is destroying music but maybe they're doing it more than usual right now.

17. Two different songs...
that have the same chord progression, tempo, similar structure otherwise. I believe the point is to demonstrate how boring and recycled the material of that band is.

19. Now I get it. LOL. I heard two different sets of lyrics but didn't notice the rest
until the second listen. Wow and the RIAA still boo hoos that they can't sell albums even after pushing this cardboard cut out garbage on people for 18 bucks a disk.

11. It's not that the way they look that matters, it's the way they sound...
Edited on Sat Dec-20-08 09:48 PM by originalpckelly
and they sound like boring shit.

Their music is the equivalent of wearing granny panties and a frilly dress.

13. Not crazy about that CD
Also not crazy about the new All American Rejects CD, which surprised me. Move Along was very good.

Unlike much of DU, though, I have a more positive outlook on today's music. I find lots of stuff both in the mainstream and elsewhere. Critical favorites like Bon Iver, Santogold, Robyn (she can be good, but I find her new CD inconsistent,) Portishead, MGMT, and The Bug were overrated while I liked mainstream releases by Pink, Sheryl Crow, Katy Perry, R.E.M., Taylor Swift, Sugarland, B52s, The Killers, TV On The Radio, Duffy, Jewel, Coldplay, Cyndi Lauper, etc.
