I'm about to see the most snow I've ever witnessed in person--flying into Milwaukee tomorrow! I've been in the southeast all my life...the most snow I've ever seen would probably be like two inches.

58. that is the exact thing that happened when I bought mine several years ago
we had 80 inches of snow in December. I went out and bought the only one I could find, a gigantic monster, and then we barely got any more snow the rest of the winter. Retro is right though, worth every penny.

6am, up and down the block, 20 below wind chill, 2 foot drifts, people bundled up like the Michelin Man, pushing snow blowers up and down their sidewalks and driveways.

and just when they finish, the plows come by blocking in the driveways again in 3-4' of packed snow.

80. Good for you! We are in Minnesota, and finally got one about 3 years
ago. Don't know how we'd manage without it living in the boonies where we do. And we have a big-ass, horseshoe driveway; we'd die of heart attacks in five minutes if we had to shovel the beast.
Just make sure you clean the snow off well before you stash in the garage (or in the walkout basement, as Hubby does...) or it will melt and re-freeze and then shit doesn't want to work! And you can fry the bearings trying to MAKE it work if it freezes up!
