Why didn't anybody tell me mead tasted so good!

8. That's my hearty winter mead.
I used the thickest, darkest honey I could find. Then added a bit of molasses for an extra kick, and some gingerbread type spices. :)

my dear friends make gallons of it every year...

all sorts...strawberry, raspberry, pear, mince, blackberry
last year prickly cactus...they are very, very into it...

Bought some when I was in the UK and brought it back. The first glass was okay, but couldn't drink much more.

10. semi interesting story used to date a girl whose last name was mead
from quite a straight laced family.
Saw a bottle of it and bought it for her.
it did not go over well with her family.
it was our last xams....

17. I'll have to try some again.
The last time I had some mead was in a little pub with very low beamed ceilings, a roaring fireplace and horse brasses glowing all around. Memories.
