I had a date at Burger King on Christmas |

that sounds bad LOL
i met a guy online.....we had been chatting for about a week and we were both online in the evening on christmas day... so i was like "since we are obviously not busy, lets meet" and Burger King was the only place open.
We ended up driving around looking at xmas lights.
It had only been 23 days since i left my husband, and 7 days since i had filed for divorce; so it was awkward.... but...
anyway... this guy is only 23 (i'm 27). and I feel like Mrs. Robinson... he's just a baby! LOL and to top it off, he's 9 inches shorter than me. 9 inches!! he's shorter than my mom! I'm 6ft tall.... my friends kept telling me that i just needed to go out and meet people and not be judgmental of their looks - and I was like "its 9 inches!!!" can't dance with someone that short LOL. I am not sure if he has ever had a girlfriend either... he seems so innocent, uncorrupted - he's really a very sweet kid. He even says things like "golly gee" and "oh shucks" LMAO the only thing i can think of when he says that is gomer pyle! but he meets the criteria, thus far: he is in college for business management; has a driver's license; and a vehicle. LOL
I think i might go out with him again, cuz I think it is good for me to... not that I think this is actually going anywhere - he'll end up being more like a little brother to me I think. Really, the thing is that I need to relearn to socialize with men - I had myself so isolated for so long (especially from men) because I didn't want my husband making accusations and starting fights over nonsense, so it was just easier to avoid the opposite sex. Actually, in the past few weeks, i have made progress - i can actually flirt! I didn't lose the ability LOL but it took a little bit - to talk to men and flirt, at first i couldn't put together a coherent sentence because i was so nervous.
sooo.... and i haven't heard anything from my husband since he was served with divorce papers - thank god!

when looking at life experience... it makes the gap seem bigger. I met my husband when I was 19... so, at the age of 27 I have been: married, divorcing, declared bankruptcy at age 24, bought a house, moved ALOT, graduated college after sacrificing to pay for it myself; and all the emotions and thought processes and wisdom that come with doing those things.... it adds up. i feel 10 years older than i am

nothing serious; no major decisions for 6 months.
I'm just gonna go to work, pay my bills, save money, and have a good time. Then after that time, hopefully i'll have found more pieces of myself and perhaps move out of stupid western kansas.

10. That's really sweet... |
|
Firstly, the age...he's not that much younger. I'm a lot older than you, and have had a couple of relationships with men 7-10 years younger. Also, he's a sweetie, and could become a really good friend if nothing more. Driving around looking at the lights was a nice thing to do...who thought of it? As far as the height, think Dennis and Elizabeth....
Have fun and enjoy!
peace~
