They all seem to be Redskin's fans, also.

1. Yeah no kidding...
if Utd had been as unvictorious as the Boys have been the last few years, I'd hate them slightly less I'm sure.

Must be a particularly passionate form of jealousy or something. :P

4. We are the team they all wish they had.
Eight Super Bowls, five Super Bowl wins, top merchandising team of any sport, the most press even when we are struggling, always a soap opera fool of characters the media loves to pretend they hate, the cool nickname "America's Team" which many have tried and failed to steal for their team. We are the best, the coolest, the brightest, the most loved, the most storied... Of course the posers are jealous.

And who knows, maybe one day we'll even start playing good football again.

24. We'll take him. If our idiot coach would actually use him, we might have won
quite a few. But our Head Bunny Coach Philips still thinks he's coaching a 70s style offense, and doesn't know what to do with him.

Owens is great. Stays out of trouble, has a tremendous work ethic, is popular on the team. Sure there are a couple of reporters who keep writing the same story about his "selfish attitude" to make a name for themselves, but only the media takes them seriously.

25. Past glory is more than most teams have.
People forget Super Bowl victories a week after they happen, but everyone talks about the Cowboys year round. Who are we talking about now? The Giants? No sirree. That's what I mean. Everyone wants to be us.

The Giants don't want or need respect (they actually do better when they feel disrespected and have something to prove), they prefer to just collect Super Bowl Trophies.

30. Yeah, right. The way they cry about being "disrespected?"
They are the worst of the ones wanting to be the Cowboys. They keep trying to claim they should be "America's Team." They can't make up their own nicknames?

They've got it doubly-bad, though. They can't be the Cowboys, and they can't be the Yankees (baseball's version of the Cowboys, though truthfully it's probably the reverse) in their own city. I don't know why they think they have anything to prove, but they sure think they have something to prove.

Sadly for them, I think they may soon find out what it's like to be the Cowboys. They've played in December like the Cowboys, and they look like they'l exit the playoffs like the Cowboys. They won't like that part of being us.

"America's Team".

What's there not to enjoy disliking/hating? You have an egotistical owner who fired a coach, after he won a Super Bowl. You have TO (nuff said). You have more players with criminal records, than any other team in the league (with the possible exception of Cincy). You send 13 players to the pro-bowl, but you don't have a single play off victory in this century. You have a coach who was so cocky that he announced to the world (before a single game was played) that that the players need to get their ring fingers ready. Finally I don't think there is a team in the league with as many bandwagon fans, as the Cowboys have.

One thing I love about football, is that character is as important as talent. The Cowboys have as much, if not more, talent than the any team in the league. Yet they couldn't even qualify for the playoffs. That has to tell you something.

28. Tells me we are the cool team everyone wants to be.
Cahracter--bullshit. I remember back when we were going to all the Super Bowls and people were trying that crap. "Why can't they be a classy team like the 49ers!" Someone added it up and the 49ers and Packers each had more arrests than the Cowboys in the previous couple of years.

Jealousy breeds these stories. We are the team everyone wishes they were, so they do the sour grapes bit. "We don't want to be them. They never win playoff games. They have bad character. Bad character, I tell you. Bad! Did we mention BAD? They have TO! That's why they don't win."

Last I checked TO has zero arrests, while the defending SB champs have star players suspended for shooting themselves in night clubs. So much for the whole idea of "character."

As for Jones firing Johnson, Johnson was attacking Jones in the press every chance he got, including getting drunk at parties and telling reporters he was burned out and didn't want to coach anymore. He was a drunken, burned-out egomaniac upset that Jerry Jones was getting as much credit as him. It cracks me up that the same people who claim TO had to be fired from the Eagles for lesser sins defend Johnson. And we saw how well he did with the Dolphins. Without Johnson, the Cowboys won one more Super Bowl--with different coordinators and a different offensive and defensive scheme, so it wasn't a carry-over from Johnson's days--and Johnson failed supremely as a coach. He's very good as a TV entertainer, though. Dude needed firing, and badly. I doubt we'd have won that fifth Super Bowl if he'd have stayed.

Nope, sorry. Not under any stretch of the imagination.

I'd rather stick with my 4-12 Seahawks (still managed to win the division four times over the past five years,) than spend five minutes as a Cowboys fan.

Does it occur to you that one of the reasons why they didn't make the playoffs is the volcanic situation in that locker room?

48. It's not that I hate the Cowboys,
I just don't like being expected to like them. I don't care who coined the term "America's Team", but the Cowboys have clung to it like it's their birthright. Lest you forget, they were an expansion team in 1960. The only teams that really could be considered "America's Team" would be the Bears or the Cardinals, the only two charter members from the 1920 beginning of the league (although the Packers should be considered too as they formed in 1921).

But good luck to you in '09. Maybe Phillips can grow a spine and learn how to control all of the prima donnas Jones has chosen to pay outrageaous sums of money to.

67. I hate any team pretentious enough to call itself "America's Team"
Or a team that always gets treated like the "champions" by the media, even in a losing season.

So that's why I hate the Cowpies in the NFL, the YankMe's in baseball, and the LA Fakers in the NBA

76. Second generation Cowboys hater
Mom has hated the Cowboys ever since the 60s and what they did to Dick Nolan, John Brodie and the rest of the 49ers. Bill Walsh and Joe Montana were the ones who righted that injustice.

84. True, that was the second most spectacular choke job
the most spectacular was last year's playoff game against the Giants.

Here is one fans take on that game

82. I hate ESPN's Cowboy fetish more than the Cowboys themselves
They cover them ad nauseam because they (ESPN) are lazy. If you are a true Cowboy hater it's a good thing because it absolutely hurts them on the field.

85. In some ways I love the Cowboys
I don't think I ever laughed as hard as I did at this video, made after the Giants defeated the all world Cowboys in last year's playoff game.
