Okay the election really rocked, and I got to be at the party in Grant Park. I took a great trip to Alaska before I knew who Sarah Palin was. I have a great husband, an awesome cat, friends, family and a roof over my head. So yes, I am thankful for a lot.
BUT...
2008 was a really suck-ass year and I for one am not at all sorry to see it go. Here's to something, ANYTHING, getting better in 2009.

Seriously. Lost my "Kit" Marlowe-tabby in '06. Lost my longterm SO in '07.* Lost my even longer-term job in 2008. What am I going to lose in '09, a limb? I want to WIN something.
*to clarify: we just broke up, he didn't die. So it could always be worse.
