10. Thanks emily.
Happy New Year to you as well!

I have a special spot for Huskies. When I was little my parents raised them, and we had a pair of them to mate. The male was Nikki and the female was Nishka. Nikki had a brown eye and a blue eye, and was the coolest dog you could imagine. Like all huskies they loved the winter, and were very gregarious. Nikki would constantly tackle my 6 year old frame, to lick me of course. My father would send me out to feed him just for the laugh of seeing me knocked over. After awhile I learned to set the bowl at the very edge of his chain to escape unharmed.

On his birthday we would give him cake, cookies and ice cream (he loved Oreos). He used to always break his chain and disappear for days, usually reappearing with a face full of porcupine quills. It never seemed to faze the crazy dog.

When I was 6 my father wanted me to watch Godzilla on tv. I had already gone to bed for the night, and he and my mother argued about whether I should see it or not. My mother was convinced it would give me nightmares, but my father won out and I was woken up to come downstairs and watch this bizarre movie with my father (my Godzilla fascination was a done deal after seeing it). My mother was right though, it gave me nightmares for weeks. Finally, after nights and nights and barely sleeping (both me and my parents) my father just said not to worry about Godzilla because Nikki would take care of him. I had no troubles believing that, and the nightmares stopped.

I loved that damn dog. :)

12. I had a Shepherd named Nikki.
After she died I would hear her downstairs. She once caught a burglar and "held" till cops arrived.

15. I wondered that, too, but there was no info about it.
Huskies are notoriously friendly to anything as well. :)
