if you did, was it worth any significant amount of money, or more than you thought it was? I'd love for them to come to the Mid Atlantic region. I have a copy of London's Illustrated News from 1862 that includes an engraving of Confederate Calvary General Jeb Stuart at Culpepper Courthouse that I'd love to see what it's worth. I also have a copy of The Baltimore Sun from May 1861 with the Southern Congress' Declaration of War.

1. I did.

The thing I thought might be worth something wasn't, and the thing I thought was worth very little (an old book) was worth quite a lot. Go figure. Good to know.

BTW, I couldn't get a ticket to the show to save my soul. And they were selling on eBay for way much more than I was willing to pay. So I took my stuff anyway, stood outside the entrance and held up a sign saying that I needed one ticket. I figured I might have to wait there an hour or two. Nope, more like five minutes. Some nice lady walked up and gave me an extra ticket, wouldn't even take any payment for it. :)

Where there's a will, there's a way.

Good luck!

2. Our local museum did one
I took a basin and pitcher that was my great grandmothers and some old Mason paraphernalia.
Neither were worth a lot but I learned some history about them.
I have leather bound copies of Harpers from 1864-1900. If they do another one I might take a few volumes of those

3. I've seen some of the more famous Harpers going for hundreds of dollars
One with US Grant leaning up against a tree was selling upwards of a thousand bucks. I would definitely have any of your Civil War era ones checked out.
