DOROTHY DANDRIDGE
Absolutely a hugely underrated and less than duly appreciated actress! She was absolutely beautiful and she could absolutely act and sing. If anyone has seen Carmen Jones, they know she was worthy of all acclamation she received, plus more. It's a tragedy she was not given more acclaim because she was Black. Very unfortunate that at the time, many weren't willing to acknowledge an AA actress' talent. She once said, "If I were white, I could capture the world".
