1. Do you watch a lot of TV? |
|
That's the big factor.
I know people rave about it, but I've managed to live without it -- of course, I'm currently without *cable,* soooo......

4. I don't watch a lot of TV |

But I find myself rearranging my life somewhat to catch the two shows I do watch--Daily Show and Top Chef.

It lets you watch whatever you want to watch whenever you want to watch. I don't know how I lived without it. :)

3. I like it for keeping great movies for sleepless nights and especially now that WGN is showing WKRP |
|
reruns.
If you really love some shows and occasionally have to miss them, it's great. It's also handy when you start watching something and have to leave--you can record the rest of it.
I could live without it, but I do make good use of it.

You can search for shows and record every episode. I use it for recording English football matches. My wife did not want to get it but I talked her into it and now she can't live without it. She records Keith and Rachel and watches after the kids are in bed. She didn't want an ice maker when we bought the new fridge same thing:)

7. It's like a VCR with better quality, much more storage and other bells and whistles. |

Its worth it for $5/month because you can fast forward through commercials and record all the shows you miss because you are at work or asleep so you can watch them later.
