My parents had the coolest Christmas/Epiphany tradition. |
I was an only child, and despite my parent's frugality; I was spoiled ROTTEN for Christmas..it was the Daddy's little girl symptom. Anyway, I got a ton of presents for Christmas; and I was allowed to open one or two a day until all 12 days of Christmas were over. I loooooooved it.
Just thought I'd share.

1. What a great idea! Much more civilized than making Christmas Day an orgy of gift giving |
and then just acting like it's all over.

4. What we do with our daughter |
is to let her unwrap her presents, some on Christmas Eve and the rest on Christmas Day. But she doesn't get to open everythng and play with it. We have her spread that out over several days so that while she's home from school there is something new to look forward to each day. She likes it and so do we.
