3. The Chargers were a 4-8 team a month ago |
|
The Steelers have a tendency to lay an egg when they get overconfident, so I am not ruling out a Baltimore win next week at all.

2. Next week is the birdie bowl. |
|
What's funny is that if it becomes a Steelers/Eagles matchup, there's a 6-hour geographic distance between the two.
If it ended up being Eagles/Ravens, yeah - they are two states away from each other, but also only two hours away from each other. Weird.

6. I thought of this today: |
|
Remember when the idiot Palin was campaigning in Pittsburgh, and she started her speech with something like "How 'bout them Phillies winnin' the Series?"
In Pittsburgh.
And she was a sports announcer on TV early in her "career"?
Oh, really?

10. Well you know Pittsburgh and also Philadelphia are both in Pennsylvania so you know.... |
|
...you can see Pittsburgh from Philadelphia and when Ben Roethlisberger rears his ugly head he flies right over Philadelphia airspace and also they are both in Pennsylvania which has you know a bunch of those Joe Sixpacks and Hockey Moms no matter what city they are in so therefore you just know they are going to root for the team of their choice which will be Philadelphia or Pittsburgh and also they're out there eating their cheesesteaks and drinking their Iron City beer so you know they'll be cheering and that's just what they do and also....

4. I'll have my Bird Bowl with dark meat, please. |

The Cardinals may share their name with high officials of the Catholic Church, but their QB is a sick-making fundie jagoff. :puke: How the hell did he slither back into the league, anyway?
edit: I'm not entirely sure that eagle is darker than cardinal. Anyone up for a KFC run to find out? :P

I'd like to get them again after we dispatch Kurt Warner and the Cardinals. I doubt they'll beat the Stillers though, they were prime for the taking yesterday and the Titans just blew it and the refs gave them a gift.

7. Bird Bowl. Pennsylvania is a cruel, cruel state full of women who break young men's hearts. |
|
They do not deserve to hoist the Lombardi trophy on that basis alone.

9. No BIrd Bowl! I'm up for a good interstate brawl with the Steelers kicking bird butt. |
|
If Willie Parker runs like he did yesterday and the Offensive Line takes care of Ben they way they did yesterday, no one will beat 'em. :D
