question to duers with older teenage kids
how are your kids regarding remembering to do things?
mine are horredeous at this and i am just looking to see if this is a common teenage occurance.

3. it is driving their mother mad
my oldest one has always been like this and now that he is away at school he is being held to a higher standard and he is just not doing it.

That is when natural consequences have to come in. He does not handle his responsibilities, he does not get tuition money, he has to get a job to pay for school, etc.

7. I find it to be 'selective memory'
for example, I can ask my eldest monster to put away her laundry 5 times and she will always reply "Geez, sorry I forgot", but if I make a passing remark that references something she might enjoy, she remembers it for years and nags me about doing it. My mother calls this phenomena "payback" :grr:
