1. Where did you go snowboarding? |
|
From what I understand from the snowboarders I know, snowboarding has a pretty long learning curve vs. skiing.
Hope your face is OK, and next time you fall down your butt takes the impact instead.
.....most importantly, did you have fun?

Since I was a surfer, learning to snowboard wasn't that hard for me. My partners who came with me fell at least 3 or 4 times more than I did. It was only one particular fall that made me question if I really wanted to be a snowboarder. I fell hard going down an intermediate hill. The contact point of my trip was where my neck meets my head on the left side (how I managed to crash on that body part is beyond me). I slid on my head for a good ten feet before the rest of my body came tumbling down like a sack of bricks and I bounced another 20 or 30 ft.
My right asscheek feels like a brick, too. I think that's just from butt impacts during my more typical falls.
And yes, I had a blast.

I have a friend who is a ski patroller who went snowboarding once. She fell on her ass and screwed up her back so badly she decided that she'd stick with skiing.
Glad to hear you had fun!

6. Snowboarding is really hard to learn. Much harder than skiing. You need excellent balance |
|
and I have not of that (one of my legs is an inch longer than the other).
