We got Pippi back from the vet
She really got hammered. She's got two really nasty bites, 5 or 6 smaller bites, and her ear was torn (about a half inch) and will have a divot in it from here on out.

Her surgery went well. They took her whole tooth out, and YES, I got to keep it. The whole thing is close to two inches long, including the root (and she's not a huge dog).

She's still out of it from the surgery. She got home, used the bathroom, drank HUGELY, and ate some canned food. She spent the rest of the afternoon looking stoned on the couch.

Only soft food for the next five days, and no chew toys for two weeks.

I really think her tooth got caught on Bailey's collar and he bit her to try to get her off of him. I did some internet research, and it looks like a few people have reported similar accidents. This makes me feel a bit better knowing that Bailey didn't try to inflict that much damage.

Thanks to everyone for your good vibes. :pals:

2. Recovery takes rest
Poor little thing.
Sounds like she'll need therapy for PTSD, when the drugs wear off
