4. My dear AwakeAtLast!
Thanks!

It was a fun, though tiring, day...

Chilly outside, and overheated inside!

There is SO MUCH to see here...

I think you could live here several years and not see everything...

BTW, nice new username, sweetie!

2. That's a magnificent Louise Bourgeois sculpture in the last pic
She's one of my favorite printmakers/sculptors. I saw a great exhibit of hers at the Institute of Contemporary Art in Boston last year. She's sublime.

Isn't that cool? I am not aquainted with her work, but I loved this sculpture!

Thanks for coming by tonight!

3. Those are lovely, Peggy!
Have you gotten to see the renovated Museum of American History yet? I went before the reno and would love to hear how it turned out!

Also, if you haven't been to the Holocaust Museum yet (assuming you're planning to go there), stop by the Forest Service building (right next door) beforehand and check out Smokey Bear's office.

9. My dear leftyclimber!
Ah, tomorrow is my last day, and I suspect that I will be lying around, recuperating from today...

This was the only chance we had to get into the Mall...

And there's a distinct limit as to how much you can realistically see, and survive!

Glad you enjoyed the pics, sweetie!

But guess what I'm doing in March.

Shh....

Don't tell anyone....

I'm going on a WHITE HOUSE TOUR!!!! :woohoo:

Are you in town long?

I played a concert Saturday night in the National Gallery. If I'd known you were going to be here, I would have told you about it.
Ah well, I hope the rest of your stay is wonderful!

Looks like a great trip. :hi:

And we did see a movie at the IMAX theater!

"Fighter Pilot: Operation Red Flag" was what we saw, and now I want to be a fighter pilot too! :P

It sure was some experience...

26. Great pics! Is this your first time in DC?
I spent my freshman year of college there...77-78. I loved living there but hated my school.

There is soooo much to do and see there.

But this was so nicely done that I just had to take a pic of it...
