1. ugh, yes it does. i hate having to summarize my life on little blank squares |
|
and what's the deal with asking for massive amounts of information and then providing a 1/2" by 1 inch square to provide the requested details?
i'm currently in the market for just about any job cause my contracting work is drying up and the bills need to be paid on time. The problem is, I cant really put down any of my real experience or references because I would be woefully overqualified. So I have to lie or fib, which is just as bad as being overqualifed. No way to win. :(
Anyways, good luck with your job hunting!

5. What I can't get used to is all the electronic stuff |

Fax a resume. E-mail a resume. Apply online. Fax or e-mail a resume to a third party who will then pre-screen (over the phone) and ask all the information that's already in the friggen' resume and then forward the whole shebang to the employer.
Or the employer's representative.
You're already on your third interview before you actually leave your house or meet anyone.
It's just so....I dunno...it just doesn't feel right.

you have experience, and they don't want that. They want people they can mold in the corporate image.
Black is white. Up is down.

6. I have no RECENT experience, though. |
|
And face it...there isn't much call for the job I'm doing now.
Still...it's driving me absolutely ape-shit.
And it KILLS the confidence, yanno?
