I'm an auntie! Meet Annabelle. (pic)

She got her first walk in the park today, and my sister says that she's a diva because she walks around puddles rather than get wet. She and my sister have a lot in common. :eyes: She's not real sure about this whole walking on a leash thing, but she didn't chase geese or act weird around the other dogs or anything, she's really mellow. She just sat down and waited to be petted a lot.

I have no idea how my Dad is going to manage with two divas in the house. Poor guy.

Or maybe Trotsky, but I want to save that for if I ever own a horse, for the pun that would be involved.

:P

20. Whenever we see dogs that have a particularly bouncy step, we always say "he's a Trotsky."
So I think it works. :)

I just want to kiss her :* . I love boxers. We used to have a Rottie named Darwin and he got punched in the face by a boxer. It was one of the funniest things I have ever seen.

30. Update: LK and I went and met her today, and took her for a walk around the block.
Edited on Sat Jan-24-09 04:35 AM by LeftyMom
My sister said she was definitely more excited today, probably because she was more settled in. She and my sister are already very obviously attached to each other.

She's a little skinny, and has some really prominent nipples due to being overbred. She's a little small for a boxer too, I don't know how much that's from underfeeding and how much that's just normal for her.

She's getting used to basic socialization stuff, like walking on a leash and not jumping on people when she gets excited. Luckily she's got such a great personality she doesn't have many bad habits to break- we took her for a walk around the block and she barely pulled at the leash, didn't chase cats or bark at other dogs, didn't bother passing neighbors or children.

She adores LK already. He got lots of big wet puppy kisses, and they raced on our walk. They played in the yard a little bit before we went home, but not too much since it's so wet out.

I brought the camera but since we had so much fun playing with her I forgot to take any pictures. I'll try to do so sometime this coming week, maybe if we go along on her first visit to the pet supply store.
