For me, the timing couldn't have been better. With a new year and a real president in place, I'm going to transform my music website into a portal with the emphasis on politically-oriented rock bands. For me, "rocknation" served as both a place and a state of being, but if I've learned anything at all in the past eight years, a state of being isn't enough--you've got to take action. "Rocktivity" is about DOING what's politically and morally correct, not simply feeling it.

1. I changed it because I had a wine induced buzz going

:P And because there are threads that bare my screen name in the past that I'd like to see evaporate into the archives and not be associated with me anymore.
A new name is a second chance in a way.
The only regret is that I wish I would have picked Sky Masterson instead.
I'd be willing to donate $50 to Habitat for Humanity in DU's name if they'd change it. Hint, hint Bribe, bribe.

and Magic Rat had a good run. It was time to retire it.

Now I'll be moving on to something that reflects my job - court reporting - and the sound I make when I'm typing, which doesn't really sound like thunder, but tap-tap-tap hands doesn't sound as intimidating.

But it wouldn't let her make the change she wanted, and someone else was already just plain ThinkBlue, so...

She thought up complementary usernames for us ("Lyric" and "Rhythm"), because there are a lot of times when we ARE an us.
They work, too, in another way... she's a poet with an amazing voice, and i occasionally sing harmonies and i play a couple of non-melody-line instruments.
