Sometimes I wished I still smoked |

Edited on Sun Jan-25-09 04:55 PM by Taverner
Just so I could blow smoke in the faces of all the Anti-Smoking NAZIs
Jeez - this BS ( and yes, it is pure BS ) about 3rd and 4th hand smoke...and now this anger at Obama for smoking
Shrill hysterics from the Nanny Staters if there ever was...

Their logic suggests that walking into a smelly public restroom is the equivalent of licking a stranger's dirty ass.

Do you know what smell is? You are inhaling particulate matter. What sort of particulate matter smells like poop?

5. You are talking second hand smoke |
|
Which is both harmless (if the smoker is smoking outside) or harmful (the smoker is inside, unless there is wind-turbine level ventilation)
Now they came up with Third Hand smoke, the idea that if you smoke, and you shake someone's hand, they are now as good as dead because you've exposed them to every chemical in the world from said handshake. I think its histrionics.

9. It's disgusting. It is absolutely disgusting to have to walk |
|
through a cloud of that shit to enter or leave a store. Repulsive is more like it.
I don't give a rat's ass if people smoke. Just don't fucking do it near me. It's repulsive.
NYC has the right idea. The doormen of the nicer hotels insist that smokers stand 10-20 feet away from the entrances so that people don't have to deal with it.
I made a conscious decision not to smoke. Why should I have to breathe that shit? It's selfish and disgusting.

The closer you are to it, the more it affects you
In a room, you should leave if the person starts smoking
OUtside, just avoid the smoke and you'll be safe
But the idea that someone visiting your house has created a biohazzard by just existing in your home is nonsense.

18. By walking into a store, I should quit breathing? Are you serious? |
|
And I don't let people smoke in my house because, again, it's disgusting.
Some smokers are remarkably inconsiderate. They light up before they've even reached the exit of the store, or they block the door smoking so you have to weave and bob to avoid it.
Why should I have to go through that because of their disgusting habit? Smoke all you want, just not around me.

How many times have you sat behind someone at a stop light puffing away on a nice day and had to put your windows up?
It's foul.

27. Well just ban indoor smoking |
|
Outdoors you are, in fact, infringing on another's liberty.
Indoors, we are talking about a collective liberty (the liberty to not be exposed to toxic chemicals)

8. 3rd hand smoke is someone who smokes having it on their skin |
|
And as a result, they are a walking chemical bomb.
You shake their hands - you have emphysema
Or something like that
4th hand smoke is people smoking on TV or in the movies
Some folks have nothing better to do
If you want to quit, use Nicotine gum, then the patch, and stay on the patch as long as you have to. I was on it 3 years.

It's been reviewed in the journals for decades. It's not just something someone made up.
Farting? Has anyone developed lung cancer from someone's farts?

that alone pretty much sums up my feelings about this retarded bullshit
I've never tried the patch, but have tried Nicorette...didn't seem to help. I know quite a few people who quit cold-turkey, and I think cutting down like I have would be a step towards that...
People who smoke on TV? That must be a joke....and I would like to take whoever is suggestion this fucking nonsense and choke the life out of them...people=fucking nutbags

And it worked here in CA
But it took a different approach in the 80's and 90's - the idea was not to browbeat the smoker but show them how much they have been had.

30. Get a vaporizor and you'll like weed inside even more |
|
No combustion of the weed
Just oil vaporization
It is worth it, and you can cook the remnants
And - you are more efficient
30% of the THC gets destroyed when you fire it up - when you vaporize it all of that is still there
