A letter to the editor in my paper today supporting concealed weapons in National Parks:

http://www.sun-sentinel.com/news/opinion/sfl-br1101pnjan27,0,5790215.story

Re concealed weapons allowed in national parks: Common sense should tell anyone that the answer is not why, but why not. Is anyone so naive as to think that muggers, rapists, child molesters or murderers will avoid a family-fun place, particularly with the knowledge that these families are unarmed and unprotected? I am sure the NRA and the 51 U.S. senators are for it. I know I certainly am.

Did we suddenly lose 49 senate seats? Or is this a poorly worded statement alluding to some vote? I don't want to mock unless I know all what the facts is (to quote the great Steve Miller).

1. It's hard to understand what goes through freepers minds, but
I would assume he/she thinks that the NRA will be able to muster up 51 Senators to overturn the decision.

2. I don't know, but as to the rapists, child molesters or murderers....
....I believe they are called "wild animals."

3. I don't know, but I do know this -
I rarely make decisions based on what the NRA is for.
