Cartoons and the "Eddie Deezen" rule
Since my son was born, I've noticed something interesting about cartoons made in the last decade or so. It would appear that there's an unwritten rule that:

a. all cartoons must contain a character voiced by Eddie Deezen;
b. if Eddie Deezen is unavailable, there must be a character with an Eddie Deezen-esque voice.

Eddie Deezen is probably best known as the nerd from "Grease". A picture:
