| folks had quite the scare last Friday |

they had to drive to the DMV about 20 miles away to renew my mom's driver's license. On the way home they were driving on the highway (something they rarely do) behind a truck and a bag fell off the truck, out of the bag and into their windshield came a brick.
Amazingly enough, my dad remained composed enough to get to the side of the road w/o getting into any other accidents and neither of them was hurt.
That's some scary stuff.

Yikes!
I'll bet they had plenty of adrenaline on board after that...
Sometimes we escape serious accidents by the sheerest luck.
I'm glad they were able to avoid any further consequences...
And I'll bet it'll be a cold day in hell before they drive on the highway again...

I was behind a pick-up truck one day on a freeway and a ladder came out the back...it's a miracle I missed it and it looked like everyone else did too.
