3. Pineapple...Spondivits in Atlanta
They soak the fresh slices for days in a gigantic jar full of vodka.

If you like pineapple in your martini, that's the place to get it!

Even when you're legal age, those things can make you a lawbreaker. Watch out for them!

if only it were the 90's and i were in NOLA.. then i could drink legally :P

honestly, alcohol doesn't appeal to me, so it doesn't bother me that i'm 3 years away from the legal drinking age.

19. Oh, man!
I used to get those at a place when I lived in Columbus, Ohio. They called them Pineapple Finlandias and they were awesome! They soaked it in huge apothecary jars.

and it comes out with little brown marks from being toasted. I went to Tahiti once and have never tasted anything so juicy and sweet. I ate a whole pineapple it was that good.

33. Alas. most pineapple these days is imported
not nearly as good as the classic Maui sugarloaf!

It used to be that store-brand canned pine was the real deal -- most of it was stamped "100% Hawaiian U.S.A." on the lid -- but now even Maui Land & Pineapple has gone down.

I have even had unscrupulous hotel buffets out here try to stick me with the cheap stuff! :scared:
