Menstrual calendar apps...for men
Inovative idea.

Seems like every day brings news of a new iPhone app that makes the device all that more indispensable. Take for instance, PMS Buddy, which lets men keep track of the menstrual cycles of the women in their lives.

PMS Buddy, due to launch for the iPhone this week, has been available as a free service for nine months. The site's tagline is "Saving relationships, one month at a time."

"It has exploded. We've passed 150,000 registered users," Jordan Eisenberg, founder and chief executive of PMS Buddy, said in a phone interview on Tuesday. The app also is available on Facebook where it has about 20,000 users, he added.

1. I am as or more aware of my wife's cycle than she is.
If I didn't, I would get blindsided.

2. Yes, indeed. If you need a computer program to be in tune with your wife's life, you have
a big damn problem.

3. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
That's EXACTLY how I feel about that too. And I don't need any gadget to tell me when it's time for mine either. Oh, I know all right. I know. I get so grumpy and in pain that even the Devil, himself, cringes at the thought of me. :P

5. Chocolate delivery would help
I freely admit to hating all carbon-based life forms for at least 24 hours a month. :scared:

6. Mine is more like that for about 72 hours.
Today, I'm tore up from the floor up. So, I'm in a pretty mild mood. O8)

8. I medicate myself for depression/PMDD...
at least I think that's what I experience monthly. My depression symptoms become very apparent/much worse before my period. Suicidal thoughts and the whole nine yards. The little bit of medication I take daily helps lessen it.

11. I'm on medication for mine too, but it merely makes it less severe
than it used to be. It's still there, but the suicidal part is not there any more with it.

15. It's strange that something so naturally occurring can have such a negative effect on our lives.
That and child birth. If it's so necessary for the propagation of the species, then why is it so incredibly unpleasant?

9. Where's the device to protect women against the domestic violence, rape, assault and murder?
I find this type of 'warn men about PMS' stuff so offensive. A grouchy woman is
nothing compared to men who lose their jobs and off their whole family. This type of
sexism implies men are calm and reasonable, women raging idiots.

Where is my testerone warning device?

12. Yeah, it's just the same
because men killing their family happens about equally as often as women getting PMS.

Congrats on being more sexist than the OP article.

16. It didn't say men killing families happens just as often but, seriously,
this devise is stupid and sexist. These guys talk about their women's cycles as if women don't have to deal with male moods. Please!

22. I usually try to clue my family in on my PMSing...
With a firm, "I'm in NO mood!"

This seems to work, as it's resoundingly responded to with, "Uh oh...Mom's in no mood again." :)
