I recently saw "Cabaret" and needless to say, it is simply the best musical on earth, that I have seen anyways. Joel Grey was astonishingly fantastic as the emcee. Dear lord he sure did deserve that Oscar. Before this I thought that Chicago was the best musical, especially one to be made into a movie, however I thought wrong. What do you guys think about Cabaret? Do any other musicals take the top spot in DUers hearts?

The original Broadway production with Joel Grey. It was wonderful.

I was 14, and my brother's high school class was presenting it. They needed more fiddles, so they invited me to play. I felt so honored :-)
For me, the show had tremendous impact. It made me think about issues I had never explored. It was quite an awakening.
